I thought that this poll already existed but I couldn't find it. So I made it. Like the meme of leia and luke kissing on the death star with the caption "What happens on the Deathstar stays on the Deathstar".

Not easy for me but it's because I don't want just anybody to be able to meet. I have preferences which some men think us women shouldn't have. It's ok for them to want what they do but women shouldn't. Ummm. No. Humans are the most dangerous animals on earth. If only animals had the ability to know when to keep away from us humans they would be better off.

I've been here over 13 years myself and have at least 8 encounters during that time span and made some good friends out of it whom I am still good friends with today!

Your subject line asks "How many people have found adult friends" but the rest is about "hooking up" - 2 completely different things. That won"t help when it comes to communicating with women. I'm here for over 5 years and have met - in person - over a dozen women. Not all have resulted in sex but a majority have. I don't handle an interaction like a lot of guys do according to the women I've talked to. I don't focus on the sex part and the guys who do make it easier for me because the women can choose who they play with. "hooking up" is a marketing term BTW When the going gets weird, the weird turn pro. The only thing we have to fear is fear itself.

I've had 2 relationships from this site, one lasted 10 years, the other a year. I have also met a few men over the years, generally one night stands. As Redrock said he doesn't focus on the sex part, and has had success, most men's attitude is just "fancy a fuck" ,, which for the record,,, would not engage me in conversation, let alone meeting,

Over the years I've had various combinations of one or two time encounters, or FWB's of six months or less. These days I have a long distance FWB who I see every couple months or so and that's been going on for four years. The emphasis with him is definitely on "friend" rather than the benefits. We email with each other frequently. And I should note that I more or less gave up on meeting people from here in 2012 (I've been on the site since 2006) - the only reason I met the current FWB was that we read each other's blogs.

I have been on the site for 8 yrs and have had several long term adult friendships. I have tried to avoid one night stands but they occur. I would be considered an A.FF "success" Opportunity may knock only once, but temptation bangs on the door forever!

There are loads of people on this site, and a great many women and couples state right in their introduction they are looking for sex, always on the hunt, needing a great fu-K, etc. But finding someone for simple enjoyable sex and keeping lives separate is just not easy. I really believe a fair percentage of the real women here who say they want sex are hookers, escorts, generosity seekers. I assume if you’ve had no luck then you are like me...NOT a John. I have a dirty mind but the only woman I “pay” is the mother of my child. Haha

“Just me asking if I’m having a normal experience or if I’m a special loser.” I think you can see from the poll results that you’re not unique. Seven out of 24 men said they’d never had any luck. The ratios on this site are not favorable to the guys.

This site is a joke. I will not be renewing my membership. I've been catfish, husbands pretending to be wives, and single men can't read. Lol! However, some of them have become really good friends.

I have had 3 encounters and ongoing chances, cerios in about 6 months. That's pretty good, but i have really put a lotta time and effort into it. Would have hoped for more, but i am still learning the ropes on this site. Getting real people obviously is the key. Keep working my friend and you will find someone.
